Inspired by Walt Disney's Vision

Long before themed trash cans became part of the attractions industry, Walt Disney understood that even the smallest details shape a guest's experience.

While planning Disneyland, Disney observed that visitors would typically walk around 30 steps before looking for somewhere to dispose of their rubbish. If a trash can wasn't nearby, litter often ended up on the ground. That simple observation became the famous 30-Step Rule- placing trash cans no more than around 30 feet apart throughout the park.

It wasn't just about cleanliness. It was about understanding guest behaviour and removing friction. By making waste disposal quick, easy and intuitive, Disney created cleaner parks, happier visitors and a more immersive experience where nothing distracted from the magic.

More than 70 years later, that philosophy continues to influence the world's leading visitor attractions—and it continues to inspire us.
